Someone asked me not long ago what one element most distinguishes my work, and I instantly replied, “Light and Shadow Play”. It’s no secret that I’ve been fascinated with light and shadow play since the beginning of my career, but I think it’s become sort of a trade mark over the past 12 or 18 months. Much of my earlier work focuses on light tones and how these play a major role in the feeling of a scene.

However, my most recent fascination has been exploring shadow play as an element in my documentary work and as the primary subject.

Like most professionals and advanced amateur photographers I work with an extensive kit of equipment, but my basic tools are listed as follows.
Olympus E-3 camera
Olympus PEN E-PL2
Zuiko 14-54 mm f/2.8 – 3.5 TF lens
Zuiko 50-200 mm f/2.8 – 3.5 TF lens
Olympus 35 mm f/3.5 macro lens
Sigma 105 mm f/2.8 macro lens
Sigma 50-500 mm f/4.0 TF lens
