Coffee and Bananas

This coffee plantation is in the Heredia area of Costa Rica. I thought the light green leaves of the banana plants created a nice contrast to the darker leaves and varying shades of red beans on the coffee bushes.

Coffee production has a long history in Costa Rica, and if you ever get to visit the country I strongly suggest taking one of the many plantation tours that are offered for tourists. Here’s a link to an online article if anyone is interested in reading more about Costa Rican coffee > Link
