The Last Step
Watch that last step as your venturing out to the edge. If you look closely, you’ll notice a rather precarious root just before the end of the trail.
This is my last winter shot for the season, but I had to get it in if for no other reason than to enhance the transition into spring.
Taken on the ridge-line trail to the top of Whiteface mountain in the Nantahala National Forest outside Cashiers, NC.
